Funds Availability Policy

Our policy is to make funds from your cash and check deposits available to you as follows:

Funds with Same Day Availability

  • Electronic Direct Deposits
  • Wire Transfers
  • Cash deposited in person
  • Funds from Crayola payroll checks payable to member
  • Checks drawn on Crayola Credit Union payable to member
  • US Treasury checks payable to member
  • Postal Money Orders payable to member
  • State & Local Government checks payable to member
  • Cashier’s, Certified, Teller’s checks made payable to member
  • Federal Reserve / Federal Home Loan Bank Checks payable to member
  • Local checks IF there is sufficient money in your accounts to cover full amount of check

If deposit is not made in person, or does not meet the above requirements, then funds will be available as follows:

Local Bank Funds Availability

$200 will available after the first business day following the day of deposit. The remaining amount will be available no later than two business days following the day of deposit.

The availability of funds may be delayed additional days for the following reasons:

  • Deposit a check that has been returned unpaid
  • Account has been overdrawn in the last 6 months
  • Reasonable concern that a check will not be paid
  • Emergencies such as failure of communications on computer equipment.
  • Deposits Exceeding $5,000. The Credit Union may apply this exception to aggregate deposits in multiple accounts that exceed $5,000 in one day.

Members will be notified of a potential delay and funds will generally be available no later than the fifth business day after the day the deposit would otherwise be available for withdrawal.

Business days are defined as Monday through Friday and do not include Saturday, Sunday or Federal holidays.
